WHAT IS IT?

Back pain and fatigue have always been among the most common physical complaints. A tired or overly tense back affects the body and mind as a whole. The nerves that supply all the organs, arms, legs and head start out from between the vertebrae of the spine.

One of the goals of massage is to improve the oxygen supply to the tissues and to remove toxins from the body. This speeds up metabolism, restores energy and nerve supply, and corrects muscle tone.

HOW IS IT DONE?

The key is finding where the problem starts. The pain is usually not where the problem originates. From experience we have divided our work in the back area into two. In one case the problem starts in the upper back, in the other in the lower back, and sometimes in the middle back, the neck, or even in the wrong footwear. The cause of the pain is searched for during the massage itself, which already eases the muscle tension. Once the source of the overload is identified, various techniques follow to resolve the specific problem.

WHAT IS IT FOR?

The aim of back massage is to reduce muscle tension in the back area. Because the back plays a leading role in supplying nerves throughout the body, the health of the back directly affects the entire organism.

Back massage also has an effect on the movement of blood, lymph and tissue fluid, removes stagnation and congestion, and raises the temperature of the area being massaged. This has a favourable effect on the body's blood supply.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Drink plenty of water before and after the massage. This helps flush out waste products. Drinking alcoholic beverages before or after a massage is not advised.

It's not good to come to a massage on a too-full stomach. Being overly hungry is also bad. Heavy exertion, either physical or mental, is not advisable before or after the massage. The body needs time to take in and accept what has happened. Jumping straight into another task would reduce the desired effect of the massage.
